💎 EPU Flexible Film

Unparalleled Clarity. Revolutionary Protection. With a 93% light transmittance — higher than clear glass (88%) and standard TPU film (86%) TWRAPS WPF redefines windshield protection. Crafted from the most advanced 3D-formable EPU film, it overcomes the bulkiness and installation challenges of conventional TPU films.

🛡️ Powerful Shield

This 8mil thick film offers a powerful defense against rock chips and scratches. Its self-healing properties can make scuffs and scratches vanish with just a touch of heat, whether from the sun or manually.

☀️ UV/IR Block

Select UV Block (99% UV block) or UV+IR Block (99% UV / 85% IR) to shield you and your passengers from the primary cause of skin cancer - UV radiation! The IR block blocks out most of the heat infiltrating your cabin, leading to extended range and enhanced comfort.

UV + IR

Here are 5 reasons to choose our UV+IR film:

  • ☀️ No Heat Dome: Unlike traditional window tint, this film is installed on the outside. That means that 85% of the heat will be rejected before it even enters your cabin, eliminating the risk of cracked glass due to heat domes caused by traditional sunroof tints that are installed on the inside.
  • ❄️ Faster Cooling: In our experiments, a 2025 Gen2 R1S with starting cabin temperature of 120F took only 5 minutes to cool down to 75F when both windshield & sunroof UV+IR films were installed. Without the film it took 20 minutes.
  • 🏁 Better Range: Because of the heat rejection, your AC won't need to work as hard, which will translate to slight increase in mileage/range.
  • ☺️ Comfy Cabin: You and your passengers will have an overall cooler cabin and comfier experience on those summer adventures.
  • 🛡️ Glass Protection: Reduce the risk of glass chips and cracks by adding an 8mil shield between the road and your Rivian.

How to install

FAQs

How long does it last?

That depends on many things, but on average a windshield protection film should last about 1-2 years. After that you may notice scratches from the wipers and the film would need to be replaced. When applied on the sunroof it should last at least about 5 years.
With that said, there are a few things you can do to prolong the life of the film:
1. Apply a ceramic coat and re-apply it once a month
2. Avoid operating the wipers without water (i.e don't do dry wipes)
3. Keep your windshield and wipers clean from debris before operating the wipers

Should I ceramic coat it?

We highly recommend that you do. This will improve the film's life.

Can I use car washes?

Yes, please allow 2-3 days after installation before using a car wash though. This allows the windshield protection film to fully cure. Also, please consider using touchless car washes, to avoid the risk of edges picking up by scrubbing the car with a towel.

Does it self heal?

Yes! Notice that self healing happens when the film is hot. In winter months you may want to use a hair dryer or a heat gun to promote self healing.

Will it stop a rock from breaking my window?

The film is 7.6mil thick and providers a first line of defense against smaller rocks. With that said, if you get hit by a larger rock or with higher velocity, the film alone may not be enough to prevent chipping or even breaking. Please look at it that way - you reduce the risk of windshield replacements but you can't eliminate it fully.

Can I apply the TWRAPS WPF over a tinted window?

Yes, the Windshield Protection Film is applied on the outside of the window, while traditional window tint is applied on the inside. Notice though that the UV+IR version has about 70% VLT, which will contribute to further reduction of visibility if you have window tint, so we'd recommend using the standard UV Block version in this case.

Does it interfere with radio signals?

No. The TWRAPS WPF does will not interfere with any radio signals.

Highly Recommended Windscreen Protection Film

Let me start by: I've owned vehicles with professionally installed windscreen film. I know pretty much what to expect and how these typically 'cure in.' I've also only historically used windscreen film for the intended purpose of (ideally/as promoted) protecting the windscreen from rocks and road debris (in our area that star-speckled sand-blasted look you get from simply driving on the highway).

This film exceeds my expectations.

And here's why:
1- I never assumed I'd be able to install this. I'd always deferred to a professional detailer or PPF installer. It's easier than you think and not as intimidating. As long as you have a clean(ish) place to install it, and you have some patience and wherewithal to *prepare,* you'll have success equivalent to the 'professionals.'
2- I assumed all windscreen PPF was the same. This was proven false with this product.
3- I was absolutely intimidated by the idea of doing this myself in a vacuum, but Iliya (TWraps) was excellent. Easy to communicate with, very responsive, and his video instructions are comprehensive. Just talking with this gentleman gave me a level of confidence I probably didn't deserve going into the project. (Full transparency: I'm not the typical 'artistically-good-with-my-hands' kind of guy. Fortunately, where I lack artistic dexterity and surgical precision, my wife makes up for it. SO, I was HER assistant! :D)

Bottom line:
- We were able to install both the windscreen AND roof glass protection films on her R1S in a little over 15 minutes (not including prep time. GET THOSE WINDOWS VERY CLEAN FIRST!).
- The WPF was optically clearer from day 1 than my professionally installed film was after the first 2 weeks of cure. (NOTE: it IS expected for there to be some visible distortions until the film does cure--more time in the sun = more better. We also had a few bubbles, which cured out ~97% or so at this reporting and it's only been on for a week as of this review).
- The heat rejection is very noticeable. We anticipated some placebo-infused assumption it'd help. But my wife (no other window tints or heat rejection tools at this time) noted immediately that even with her all-black interior baking in the sun all day, it wasn't a 2nd degree burn to the touch when she came out from work. WIN!!

So, do I recommend this product?
YES
Do I recommend TWraps
Absolutely
Is the value worth it?
Extremely well valued. Compare with your local professional shop. My 'least expensive' windscreen PPF application cost me $500 and it was part of a package (I was having other PPF and tint installed on my truck, so this is the *added cost.* Standalone, expect this to cost north of $700.)

I just want to note: we're also in the process of installing a full body color PPF wrap that's not going t as well as we'd hoped. Iliya is helping us in a manner I'd strongly suggest is 'above and beyond.'

Great product and awesome company.

I purchased the sunroof kit for my R1S and install was pretty easy with a second set of hands. Company support is always awesome, I highly recommend Twraps if you’re diy-inclined.
