FAQs

Why wrap a Cybertruck?

While the Cybertruck doesn't have paint and coating like traditional cars, the stainless steel structure ages and gets damaged over time. You will notice spotty discoloration, rust spots, lots of micro abrasions and in some cases - chips. Wrapping your Cybertruck provides the protection of the body that will assure that the value of your Cybertruck doesn't depreciate because of outside wear & tear. Furthermore it provides an opportunity to change the color to anything that you'd like.

Is this PPF (wet install) or Vinyl (dry install)?

We only make & sell the Cybertruck wrap in PPF - wet install.

What's the difference between PPF and Vinyl wrap?

PPF stands for Paint Protection Film. This is much thicker than vinyl and has additional qualities that make it last much longer. For instance, PPF can withstand most rocks hitting your Cybertruck, while vinyl will rip on the first small rock that hits you. Furthermore, our PPF is self-healing when exposed to heat, which means that some minor scuffs that happen through regular wear & tear will disappear on their own within days.

Does it wrap around the edges?

Yes, it does! Our wrap is designed to wrap around the edges in a way that's easy for a DIYer to handle. More specifically we've created pressure relief cuts that eliminate the need of stretching and reduce the need of using a heat gun to almost 0. Furthermore, we made it wrap about 0.5" into the edge (as opposed to the usual 0.15") as we found out through numerous tests that this allows for easier, faster and more reliable edge wrapping.

Can I get replacement pieces if I mess up something?

Yes, our goal is to help you wrap your Cybertruck. That means that if you mess up something, we're here to support you and send you a new piece. Please have in mind that while we have leftover material from each roll, which is enough for every single panel, if you mess up more than one panel it's possible that we may need to order a new roll and that will cost extra. If all that you messed up fits on the leftover material we will do it for free and you just cover the shipping.

Do you have other colors?

Yes, we have many colors. Please email us with the specific color you are interested in.

Can I install in cold weather / winter?

Yes, as long as you are indoors you can install in the winter too. You can use a space heater in your garage, for your comfort and faster curing of the film. Additionally you'll need a heat gun (a hair dryer would work too) for the edge folding - you'd want to warm up the edges before folding them.

What's the warranty?

We offer 5 years warranty.

How is the TWRAPS wrap different than all the others?

There are a million companies making a wrap for the Cybertruck, we know that. What most of them have in common is that they all use the same generic cut pattern which doesn't work well. It requires stretching, doesn't wrap around some edges, is short on others. It requires disassembly of various parts (like fender flares and in some cases the mirrors) and so on.

We took a different approach. We bought the Cybertruck and spent months developing a cut pattern from scratch. We've wrapped our own Cybertruck 6 times fully (and countless times partially) just so we can test & perfect our cut pattern. Our pattern doesn't cut any corners while allowing everyone to do it successfully.

Besides the pattern, we pride ourselves with a couple of other things too - you will get outstanding support, should you need it, and you will get extremely high quality color infused PPF made with US TPU resins and German pressure sensitive glue.

50% PPF

Just thought I would leave a few thoughts regarding this kit. I believe this is the only place where you can get this PPF in 30 and 50%, which I in my opinion, it keeps a stock type look.

The whole thing comes in a large tube with the pre-cut pieces and they are very precise. It takes about a day with a friend to install with some experience but very happy with the way it turned out.

Highly recommended!

Awesome wrap and customer experience...would do it again.

Like other reviews here, I would not have attempted this unless it was for two things:
1. Incredible customer service and responsiveness from IIlya.
2. Pre-cut panels (I didn't want to attempt to use a razor against a $100k vehicle)

I chose a Satin off-green color to go with my image with the overhead LED lights and running boards. The Satin color was just the right sheen too to cover up ambient dust and grime that collects BTW.

As far as install, I studied the videos hard and recruited my teenage sons to help. They had very high attention to detail and I needed the extra hands. We took our time and it took 2 easy days...then light touchups on the edges over the next week or so.

Install tips - Remove the plastic fenders (takes 10 seconds and CUT down time by 20 minutes and better quality layout), use a heat gun on the edge wraps and have great lighting.

Lastly, the confidence was created by the back and forth with IIlya. He really cares and made a point to keep in touch. I LOVE the new look of my CT. The wrap looks awesome, gets attention and appears very durable.

But, again...HUGE credit for the sincere and awesome customer service.

Awesome before and after service

Did the Satin Midnight Moss. Turned out amazing. Make sure you watch the install video. It’s long but will save you time in the end.

Great DIY Project

First of all, why did I choose TWraps when there are so many choices ? Very important to me was the customer service Lliya provides. He responds to messages and emails in a timely manner and made me confident I could do this. I asked questions of other vendors and never got a response. With TWraps I felt cared for.
The wrap I chose was TPU Ultra-Matte Electroplate Purple. I like this wrap more with each passing day. Depending on the lighting and the angle, the color changes from a brown to a dark purple to a dark red. It keeps things very interesting. Color is very personal, and this works well for me. In some lighting it looks menacing without looking sinister (like matte black - which is very cool too).
The wrap itself was quite forgiving during the install, stretching and being repositioned and being pulled off to fix errors (even when a bit dry) was not an issue. The proprietary cut of the wrap worked very well.
After installing my wrap, I feel like I could do it again easily having learned some valuable lessons. I’ll share a few here:
- despite being able to install the wrap in 8 hours, I would recommend having the mindset that it will take a lot longer. Don’t rush or feel time pressured.
- have two people working together on the project. Having another set of eyes looking for bubbles or issues will really help in the long run
- have good lighting
- watch TWraps install video a few times. I watched other vendor videos which were also helpful

In summary, I am proud of myself for installing my own wrap, saving money and getting to know my CT better. TWraps is a great vendor with excellent customer service.

Lead Ink Gray

I tried a precut vinyl from another company that required disassembly and I ended up damaging the window seals, stripped a screw taking off the mirror and it looked terrible. This PPF was very easy to install and no disassembly required. Happy with the color as well. Wish I went with this the first time. Highly recommend.

Excellent Review, Excellent Company

Bought a Cybertruck PPF wrap in Stealth Black for my base model CT a couple weeks ago. It shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition in a long, rectangular box wrapped around a hollow plastic cylinder (my point in describing it is that these guys know what they’re doing). Unwrapped and installed in my garage using Ilya’s videos over the course of a couple days. You can definitely do it in eight hours as his video suggests if you know what you’re doing, but I was a complete novice. Using his videos as instructions, it took me a couple days and obviously the more I did it, the better and faster I got with it. The product is high quality - thick and self-healing. The company is wonderful, in their customer service and efficiency of operations. Finished product looks great. Apologies for the crappy garage-photo, but I wanted to just emphasize that this is a real review from a regular guy (located in NC) that wasn’t a planted review or a review for which I was compensated. I am just truly grateful for an awesome product and I cannot recommend it enough. Will be buying other items from TWraps as a result of this excellent experience.

DIY Laser Black PPF

Iliya is great. He’s very quick in responding and answered any questions I have in minutes. The precut pff came quickly in about a week from ordering. I made a mistake and Iliya sent me the replacement very quick. Love how the laser black turned out. It looks like a gloss black in the shade but has blue/green color shift in sun light.

OMG. We have a wrap!

So if you’re reading this; you know that the cyber truck is impossible to keep clean. I am both a DIY guy and a PIA about detailing. This is not a healthy combination.

I love my cybertruck, but there’s no way I could manage as badly as I wanted to keep the factory finish (which looks great on delivery day; but good luck keeping it like that).

I’m so thankful I found twraps; because a fully installed PPF wrap just was not in the financial cards for me. This truck was a stretch already.

Anyway, enough about me… The product is amazing. The support is incredible and I just couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommended retailer. These folks make sure to bend over backwards and do what it takes to make the customer happy. I hope you have the same experience as me.

As a sidenote, the color I chose is called dawning white. My wife and daughter absolutely love it… In fact, we may buy a second cyber truck just because my wife loves driving around in a pink truck… On the other hand, I feel a bit more indifferent about driving around in a pink truck and would probably go with something a little more subtle if I were to do it again. I love the color changing; but pink? Not sure it’s quite my jam.

Great material+Great Support = Amazing Results!

I live in the Dallas, TX area. I have a Model Y that I previously had wrapped in PPF by a local shop. It was a couple years ago, so I can't remember the exact cost, but it was somewhere around $7,000-$7,500. They did good work, but it was a pretty high price tag! When I got our CT, I was hoping the cost to wrap it in PPF would be a good amount lower, given that it has flat panels. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I got several quotes and they all hovered around $6,500. I'm 52 years old, so no spring chicken, but I like to diy (wood projects and 3D printing), so I started looking into DIY options for the CT. I found a number of companies out there offering full kits. I ended going with TWRAPS, mostly because the owner was refreshingly responsive. That was important to me, knowing that I could get feedback and advice on a diy project I had never done before. And the price is really hard to beat. I saved $1000s of dollars on the diy option. Also, no longer having to battle fingerprints was the icing on the cake!

A special thanks to TWRAPS. I highly recommend them, not only for having a great product, but also for their responsiveness. Much appreciated! They don't use a generic cut model and they put a lot of R&D in getting it just right for the CT. It's a made in the USA product by a family business.

Professional-looking!

This is the 2nd Cyberbeast I wrapped with TWRAPS’s PPF. 1st time we wrapped my friend’s Beast with Black PPF, this time we wrapped mine with the Satin Dark Army Green.

I was lucky to have 4 friends helping me out. We finished in about ~6 hours. The result speaks for itself.

Note: The Foundation Series Decal or the US Flag in the pictures are not a part of the wrap. I bought them separately from a different place.
