Product Features

🛡️ Protection where you step

Shoes, bags and pet paws can brush against the painted door sills as you get in and out. Clear PPF adds a protective layer to help reduce everyday scuffs and scratches in these high-contact areas.

🧩 Four pieces, shaped for R2

Two front and two rear pieces follow the Rivian R2’s painted door entry contours. Each entry gets its own precut piece, with no pattern to measure or trimming on the vehicle.

💎 Keep the original look

Optically clear, gloss film keeps your paint visible beneath a discreet protective layer. Protect the entry areas without covering them with colored sill guards.

📏 Your choice of film thickness

Choose 8 mil or thicker 10 mil clear gloss TPU film. Both have a hydrophobic coating that helps water bead and a self-healing surface that uses heat to help reduce fine surface marks.

🛠️ Made for DIY installation

Clean the painted entries, use slip solution to position the film, then squeegee out the water and check the edges. Allow about 20 minutes for installation, plus drying time, and follow the video for alignment and aftercare.

📦 Installation essentials included

The kit includes four precut PPF pieces, a slip-solution spray bottle and a 2 × 2 inch rubber squeegee. Fill the bottle with water before use and follow the step-by-step installation video.

How to install

FAQs

How long does PPF last?

Paint protection film, if installed properly on a clean surface will last anywhere between 5 to 10 years.

Can I install PPF over ceramic coating or wax?

No, you shouldn't. These chemical treatments will prevent the paint protection film from properly adhering to the paint. If your vehicle is ceramic coated or waxed, do not attempt PPF installation.

Can I use car wash if I have PPF?

Yes, please allow 2-3 days after PPF installation before using a car wash though. This allows the paint protection film to fully cure. Also, please consider using touchless car washes, to avoid the risk of edges picking up by scrubbing the car with a towel.

Can I install PPF in the winter?

Yes! You may need a heat gun or a hair dryer though, as paint protection film gets stiff and unsticky in cold weather. If the surface you are installing on is curvy, use a heat gun or a hair dryer to warm up the film - this will make it soft and sticky. When doing that, remember to spray the PPF on top with soapy solution, to avoid the squeegee dragging against it. Also, if any edges are lifting up at all, heat them up and push them with your fingers to properly seal them.
